I'm still not entirely sure how this happened, but by some chance I was invited by Bath and Body works to test out four new scents they are thinking about carrying. I was pretty excited when my box arrived holding these 4 vials! I was less excited when I saw the 40 page diary that I had to fill out everyday. We weren't supposed to smell them before wearing them so I had no clue what each of them was like. The first day I sniffed bottle #1 and thought it smelled promising. Upon spraying it on myself I suddenly realized that I smelled like a musty old house that someone had died in and never been found. Yummy. Bottle #2 I had the stupidity to spray right before a lesson. I then had to apologize to my student, her Mom and sisters for how horrible I smelled. When you literally gag upon smelling yourself it is NOT a good sign.  Disgusting. I wasn't holding out much hope for Bottle #3 and #4 and thankfully grew enough brains to test them when I wasn...

As many of you know, I live in Indiana. And we have crazy weather here. One only needs to think about the massive blizzard we had back at the end of March to prove that point. So despite it being the middle of November and having snow on the ground a few days previous, we had a batch of severe weather and tornadoes yesterday afternoon. I normally do not get too worried over a tornado. Living in Indiana I've grown up with them. But yesterday's events were looking to be rather severe, so I grabbed my emergency bag, some pillows, my fan (it was in the 70's!) and of course my laptop, cell phone, and a magazine. And headed to my downstairs bathroom. Before I go any further I must tell you what was in my emergency bag. The night before I had done a routine back up of my computer onto my external hard drive, so I had that in my purse as well. My emergency bag contained: A change of clothes. All of my medicines.  Ok so this was two weeks ago, but I made these SUPER yummy Sugar Cookie Bars. Well they were supposed to be bars and I put them into my individual brownie pan, because I love corner pieces. They turned out so so yummy!  Sitting at the bank. Sometimes it takes so long I wonder if they are being robbed and held hostage inside.  I missed a week of The Journey Home so I was thankful to be able to watch it on my tv! I don't know that I've ever taken so many notes during a church service as those 7 weeks!  Last week I was coming home and stopped at a red light and what do I see in front of me?  Time to post the random pictures hanging around my phone before it's a new month! I like this one of Em and the Mads at our most recent lunch date. Just perusing the menu...  Madi spent most of the lunch date under the table/booth. I looked down and saw Em's foot and a tiny foot next to hers. I laughed.  I've had some frozen fruit and have been experimenting with different smoothies. This one was a blueberry,grape, and raspberry sorbet smoothie. Pretty tasty!  I am not a morning person. There are very few things I will get up early for. Friday morning I got up while it was still dark outside. My alarm went off at 6:45 am and let me tell you I have not seen that time for a very very long while! However, something really exciting was happening that morning! Sephora came to Tippecanoe Mall! THATS RIGHT FOLKS SEPHORA!!!!!!!! I love me some Sephora! Yes, it is expensive, but the quality is amazing, and in reality I spend less on Sephora products than trying to find something that works with my wacky skin at the drug store. I have been looking forward to this for weeks. I set my alarm early and ran out the door in a hurry! I got to the mall at 8:02 am. Sephora was opening at 10. I was not the first person there! I was about the 12'th person there and at first we were all smushed into this doorway which was really not comfortable at all.  I am in denial that Madi is 3. It cannot be 3 years since we were terrorizing the halls of St E and scaring little medical students, while telling Emboz that she needed to push Madi out in the next hour because Jboz and I both had to get up early for work the next morning.
